Alright, this week’s blog is going to be a fast one! Why? Because we are all about working faster! The catalyst was when the #AskGaryVee show reached out to us and asked what we were struggling with so Gary could answer it on his show. After the squeals died down (we are huge Gary Vee fans), we all looked at each other and wonder what would we ask one of the most brilliant minds in our industry?

Finally, we had it. We asked him, “How do we grow own brand when we’re busy working on other brands all day?”




Gary’s reply was simple…it comes down to working faster. (You can read his blog that’s in response to our question or click here to watch his episode, we’re about 9 minutes in.)

So we laced up our skates and immediately did these three things to work faster:

Moved offices: When we needed to churn out a project, we moved offices to get quiet and get in the game. With no distractions and a change of environment, speed was on our side.

Timed 25 minute segments: I was just quoted in Success Magazine about this because I realized how effective this method is for my work day. My biggest time drain involves dozens of mini projects per week – squeezing them in between calls, emails, postings, etc. There were days when I’d leave the office without accomplishing anything! This needed to change so I set aside 25-minute blocks of time each day – one for each 3 key tasks I must accomplish. Because I know the timer is ticking, I’m hyper focused and fast but it’s worth it because the results are amazing!

“X” it out: We did a loose audit of our time to see where it was being wasted. Let’s just say it can be easy to get distracted while posting, tweeting, sharing and researching. We taped a sticky with a big “X” on it to the top right of our screen to remind us to “x out” of something if it doesn’t apply to the current project at hand. The visual worked and keeps us on track at a much faster pace!Heck, we worked so fast this week, we’ve even added a new division to our company!
